Low-Cost Fees: Starting at $35 Per Session

1. First six sessions (1–6): $35.00 per session.
2. Remaining six sessions (7–12): $55.00 per session for a total of 12 low-cost sessions, or until graduation, whichever occurs later.
3. After completion of 12 low-cost sessions and after the student has graduated from the second-year program, clients may continue working with the hypnotherapist at a mutually agreed-upon fee between graduate and client.

HMI’s Community Service Program connects individuals seeking low-cost hypnotherapy services with HMI hypnotherapy graduates. All sessions are private, one-on-one appointments conducted via Zoom from the convenience of your home. Sessions typically last 50 to 90 minutes and may be accessed from anywhere with a reliable internet connection and access to Zoom.

The graduates participating in this Community Service Low-Cost referral program have completed their professional training and internship at HMI, earned HMI’s Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy, and achieved certification as a Certified Hypnotherapist (CHt) from the American Hypnosis Association (AHA).

These Certified Hypnotherapists are now enrolled in HMI’s Mind-Body Psychology degree program and are seeking additional experience hours to qualify for the highest level of certification with the AHA, Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist (CCHt). They also earn special recognition from HMI by volunteering to participate in this Community Service program.

Hypnotherapy is intended to support personal development and behavioral change goals and is NOT a substitute for medical care, psychiatric treatment, psychological treatment, crisis intervention, or emergency services.

While hypnosis is generally appropriate for many individuals, certain medical or mental health conditions may make participation inadvisable. Examples may include certain seizure disorders, conditions involving impaired reality testing, severe untreated mental health symptoms, certain dissociative symptoms, or situations where a healthcare provider has advised against participation in hypnosis or deep relaxation techniques. This list is not exhaustive.

If you have concerns about whether hypnotherapy is appropriate for you, please consult with a licensed healthcare or mental health professional before participating.

While HMI recognizes the value of this program for both students and the public, it is important that you understand the separation between HMI College of Hypnotherapy, the American Hypnosis Association (AHA), and your decision to receive hypnotherapy services from HMI students or graduates working as independent contractors.

1. The hypnotherapy relationship formed through this program is separate and independent from HMI and AHA.
2. HMI students and graduates participating in this referral program are not employees of HMI or AHA. HMI and AHA do not exercise control over, or supervise their professional services.
3. HMI does not financially participate in or benefit from any fees paid to students or graduates.
4. For people participating in Tier Two, after the completion of the initial free Community Service sessions, any paid hypnotherapy services are provided solely under a private agreement between the client and the hypnotherapist.
5. HMI College of Hypnotherapy does not collect, process, manage, or receive payment for hypnotherapy services and is not a party to any financial agreement between the client and the hypnotherapist.
6. Any fees, cancellations, refunds, or disputes related to paid sessions are the sole responsibility of the client and the independent hypnotherapist.
7. Independent-contractor hypnotherapists are solely responsible for compliance with all applicable state and local laws, including those of both the hypnotherapists and client’s locations.
8. Hypnotherapy may elicit emotions or trigger past associations that may cause discomfort, including delayed emotional responses. These risks have been clearly disclosed and not minimized or misrepresented.
9. I take full responsibility for my own mental and emotional health and understand that participation is at my own risk.
10. To the fullest extent allowed by law, I agree to waive and discharge claims against, release from liability, indemnify and hold harmless HMI and the AHA and their parents, subsidiaries and affiliates and their respective past and present officers, directors, stockholders, managers, members, partners, agents and employees (collectively, “Released Parties”) from and against any and all liability on account of, or in any way resulting from, my injury or damages, including emotional distress and psychological harm, that may arise from my participation, even if caused by negligence of the Released Parties.
11. This waiver is intended to be broad and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law and shall remain valid even if any provision is found unenforceable.

4. This is a free referral service provided by HMI, a nonprofit organization. Hypnotherapists provide services as self-employed independent contractors.
5. The primary purpose of this program is vocational or avocational self-improvement. It is not intended for diagnosis or treatment of medical or psychological disorders.
6. No outcomes or results are guaranteed.
7. Hypnotherapists are not licensed physicians or psychologists, and services are not a substitute for licensed medical or psychological care.
8. Nutritional or wellness guidance is general in nature and not medical advice.
9. Hypnosis works with the subconscious mind and experiences may vary.
10. Memories or images recalled under hypnosis may be inaccurate or symbolic and should not be assumed to be factual.
11. Information shared in sessions is not protected by psychotherapist-patient privilege and may be discussed with supervisors for educational purposes.
12. Services are conducted via Zoom, requiring a quiet, interruption-free environment and reliable internet.
13. Sessions are by mutual consent and may be discontinued by either party at any time.
14. Participants outside the U.S. agree to work within the hypnotherapist’s time zone.
