Biography for Andrew Dennett, MSW, ASW, CHt

Andrew “Drew” Dennett is a Hypnotherapist and High Honors Graduate from the Hypnosis Motivation Institute (HMI) with a professional background in psychotherapy. Drew received his MSW from the USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work at the University of Southern California.

Along with providing his clients with skills to thrive day-to-day, Drew also helps people uncover and explore unconscious thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in order to create more consciousness around of what’s holding them back. Unconscious dynamics are often influenced by our past experiences and relationships and can have visceral impacts in the present moment.

Drew’s approach to therapy is characterized by a mixture of directness, playfulness, engagement, and nurturance. He believes that relentless curiosity and self-exploration leads to a sense of identity, purpose, and an understanding of our place in the world.

As a hypnotherapist, Drew utilizes the skills and experiences he has obtained as a psychotherapist to aid his clients in moving toward consciousness and wholeness which facilitates greater connection with themselves and others. He utilizes Kappasinian, Ericksonian, Jungian, psychoanalytic, and psychodynamic principles along with skills-based interventions to foster lasting change and greater insight. Drew believes in the efficacy of hypnotherapy as a reliable and gentle method for removing subconscious/unconscious blocks and activating the natural healing and transformative processes of the unconscious.

Drew offers a 15-minute phone consultation where he can learn a bit more about each individual’s experience while answering any questions they might have.
