Biography for Janeth Trevizo, MBA, CHt

Janeth Trevizo is a compassionate hypnotherapist, doctoral-level psychology scholar, and U.S. Army Veteran who brings both professional training and genuine human understanding to her work. Her approach is grounded not only in education and technique, but in experience, empathy, and a deep respect for each person’s unique healing journey.

Raised within a rich Mexican and Aztec heritage, Janeth grew up surrounded by intergenerational wisdom about healing and resilience. Her great-grandmother, an Aztec Shaman, introduced her to the traditional use of herbs and natural remedies, while her father, a miner from Chihuahua, Mexico, taught her the value of patience, strength, and connection to the earth. These early influences shaped Janeth’s belief that healing is not just about fixing symptoms, but about restoring balance, meaning, and inner safety.

Janeth is currently a Doctoral Candidate (PhD) in Psychology, with academic interests focused on trauma, emotional regulation, and the therapeutic use of hypnosis. Her developing dissertation work explores how hypnotherapy can support individuals experiencing PTSD, depression, and stress-related conditions, with a special focus on military and veteran populations. While her education is rooted in evidence-based psychology, Janeth is deeply committed to approaches that honor the whole person mind, body, and lived experience.

Her path into hypnotherapy was shaped by both academic exploration and personal transformation. While studying psychology at the doctoral level, Janeth recognized that many people need more than talking alone they need tools that help the nervous system calm, the subconscious mind reorganized, and the body feel safe again. Hypnotherapy offered a way to meet people where they are, gently and respectfully, while empowering them to access their own inner resources.

As a United States Army Veteran, Janeth has firsthand understanding of the emotional demands of military life, including the stress of training, deployment, and the challenges of transitioning back to civilian life. This lived experience allows her to connect authentically with service members and veterans, offering care that is informed, respectful, and free of judgment.

Janeth’s work is guided by a sincere desire to help others feel calmer, more confident, and more at ease within themselves. She believes healing happens best in a space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported never rushed or forced. Whether working with anxiety, confidence, habit change, trauma recovery, or life transitions, Janeth approaches each client with patience, humility, and genuine care.

She is a member of, and a Certified Hypnotherapist (CHt) through the American Hypnosis Association, a Level 1 and Level 2 Quantum Healing Hypnosis Practitioner, and a member of the American Society for Clinical Hypnosis, and the International Reiki Association. Drawing from modalities such as Kappasinian-informed hypnotherapy, the Dave Elman method, Quantum Healing Hypnosis, and Reiki, Janeth creates a safe and sacred space where transformation can unfold naturally and gently.

As a Level 1 and Level 2 Quantum Healing Hypnosis Practitioner trained through Dolores Cannon’s method, Janeth guides clients into expanded states of awareness that allow for profound subconscious exploration, emotional release, and spiritual insight. Her sessions often support clients in uncovering root causes of emotional patterns, releasing energetic imprints, and realigning with their authentic selves. Each experience is guided by intention, compassion, and respect for the client’s unique journey.

Janeth’s work is intuitive yet grounded, blending conscious intention with energetic attunement. She trusts the innate intelligence of the subconscious and believes the body and spirit hold the blueprint for healing. With client consent, she may integrate Reiki and other intuitive practices to support energetic balance, emotional clarity, and inner harmony. In addition to hypnotherapy, Janeth is a Certified Tarot reader through the School of Oracles and Hermetic Arts. When appropriate, she incorporates Tarot and palmistry as reflective, symbolic tools to help clients gain deeper insight, clarity, and soul-level understanding. Rooted in ancient wisdom traditions, these practices support self-reflection, meaning-making, and alignment with one’s higher purpose.

Janeth is the founder of Infinite Spirit: Reiki and Hypnosis, where she offers sessions both in person and online to clients seeking healing, growth, and spiritual reconnection.
