Biography for Marcela Ewertz-Lanz, CHt

As a world traveler, Marcela's eclectic life experience allows her to relate in a multi-cultural context with ease. Born in Chile, she moved to Mexico as a teenager, lived in Australia as a young married woman and settled in the United States in 1980.

As a holistic practitioner for more than thirty years, Marcela has creatively focused on facilitating well-being in both English and Spanish for individuals who wish to improve their life experience in body, mind and spirit.

Marcela's current practice in Hypnotherapy also draws expertise from previous studies in Psychology, Yoga, art and other professional skills. In her early stages as a therapist, she enjoyed a successful practice as a Certified Acupuncturist.

Years later in the United States, in conjunction with her proficiency as an artist, she began to impart workshops in creativity through intuitive painting, a method that she designed to stimulate creativity towards self-improvement. Marcela incorporated Guided Imagery as a tool for counseling and motivation, encouraging a new positive direction in people's personal life journeys.

As a Behavioral Therapist, she is dedicated single-mindedly to helping empower her clients' minds towards the fulfillment of their goals.

Experience

  • 2014: Currently, as a Certified Hypnotherapist, I use Hypnosis as I creatively focus on my clients’ well being in Los Angeles, California.
  • 1998 to 2013: I began to impart workshops in creativity through Intuitive Painting, a method I created for my therapeutic practice using imagery and relaxation techniques for self-improvement. This means of self-expression drew from my previous studies in art, psychology and energy balancing through acupuncture.
  • 1980 to 1994: Added Yoga practices and disciplines to my vision of wellness.
  • 1976 to 1979: Certified Acupuncturist as part of a medical team at Clinica Medica Bulevares in Mexico City.
