Biography for Mariamawit Girma Gobezie, CHt, CAHA

I have always been drawn to what remains unspoken. My professional path began in France, where I earned my Diploma in Fashion Design with distinction in a country renowned for its tradition of excellence and innovation in couture and design. I worked as a fashion designer for over 15 years, immersed in a culture where beauty was both language and legacy. Each garment became an expression of identity, transformation, and longing. In shaping color, texture, and silhouette, I was already in dialogue with the subconscious, translating emotions into form long before I named the practice.

Life later led me into nearly two decades of service in funeral care, where I stood with families in moments of profound loss. There, silence spoke louder than words, grief appeared in posture, in breath, in the spaces between sentences. It was here that I came to see death not as an end, but as a mirror reflecting urgency, meaning, and the essential question: how fully are we living? These two realms, beauty and mortality laid the foundation for my healing work.

Today, I bring together the threads of art, grief work, subconscious exploration, and somatic practices. I earned my Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy with Honors at the Hypnosis Motivation Institute, becoming a Certified Hypnotherapist. Practices such as Qigong have further deepened my work, showing me that true change arises not from force but from presence, safety, and reconnection. My approach honors the nervous system as both guide and messenger, creating space for integration, renewal, and the restoration of innate wholeness.

In the end, my work is guided by a simple truth: We do not control the length of our lives, but we can choose the depth with which we live them and in that depth lies the medicine of transformation and renewal.

Experience

Healing is part of our shared humanity. Across cultures and traditions, it is expressed in different ways, through silence, through story, through the body itself. I have come to see that transformation is not owned by any belief system; it arises from the human capacity to adapt, to endure, and to rediscover meaning. My work is grounded in this principle, meeting each person as they are, with respect for both their individuality and their cultural roots.

I was fortunate to receive my training at the Hypnosis Motivation Institute, one of the top hypnotherapy schools in the world. This education refined my skills and instilled rigorous academic and professional standards. Alongside this, I hold certification in advanced handwriting analysis, a discipline that reveals subconscious patterns expressed in even the smallest gestures.

My expertise spans a wide spectrum of hypnotherapy modalities, including NLP, dream therapy, therapeutic imagery, emotional freedom technique (EFT), subconscious transformation methods, and applied mind-body practices. These approaches allow me to address emotional, behavioral, health, performance, and personal growth concerns in ways that adapt to each individual, rather than forcing them into a single framework.

My perspective has been shaped by decades in fields that required attunement to what is unseen: fashion design, where I learned to give form to emotion, and funeral service, where I witnessed how silence and presence can hold what words cannot. These experiences deepen my ability to meet clients with clarity, compassion, and respect, while guiding them toward their own capacity for renewal and transformation.
