Biography for Mark Dessauer, CHt

After teaching high school English and World History for many years, I wanted to continue using my talents and skills by guiding people in creating breakthrough changes in their lives. I studied Hypnotherapy at the Mike Mandel Hypnosis Academy and at the prestigious Hypnosis Motivation Institute and graduated with honors. Additionally, I’m committed to learning more about different modalities and techniques that will benefit my clients.

I’m an active member of the American Hypnosis Association and member of the Hypnotherapists Union Local 472. I bring my skill set from years as a teacher to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where my clients can reach their goals. I use a variety of techniques to support my clients so their unconscious perceptions and beliefs align with conscious wants and desires so they get out of their own way.

I authored a chapter on student anxiety for the book “Strategies to Grow Student Learning,” which is soon to be published by The Center for Teacher Effectiveness. Before my teaching career, I was in advertising, marketing, and sales. I’m also an award winning filmmaker, actor, director, and screenwriter. With my diverse background, I use my unique perspective to understand and relate to my clients and their goals to ignite powerful and positive changes.
