Biography for Orhan Burak Uckun, MA, CCHt

Burak Uçkun is the founder of Hypnotistanbul Psychotherapy and Hypnotherapy Center, which is located in the Kadikoy/Caddebostan area of Istanbul.

His passion for creativity, human mind, combined with a deep respect for the power of the subconscious mind and the beauty of the human spirit led Burak to instinctively know it was his destiny to become a hypnotherapist.

His instincts brought him together with HMI and he studied at the Hypnosis Motivation Institute College of Hypnotherapy where he became a Hypnotherapist and a member of the American Hypnosis Association.

Burak helps his clients who need support and motivation about various subjects and he helps them achieve their goals with the aid of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy. Besides private sessions, he is giving hypnosis training seminars and workshops to medical doctors, psychologists and personal development professionals.

Some of the areas in which he specializes include; anxiety disorders, depression, stress reduction, lack of confidence, fears and phobias, addictions, weight control, social anxiety, agoraphobia, and many more clinical and/or vocational and avocational self-improvement subjects.

Motivation and performance improvement for professional sport personalities are also the areas he is dedicated to help his clients with the aid of hypnosis and cognitive behavioral therapy.

  • Clinical Psychologist and Hypnotherapist Burak Uçkun has completed his Masters Degree (MA) in Clinical Psychology at Beykent University, Istanbul. His graduation dissertation was about treatment of flying phobia with the aid of hypnosis and virtual reality therapy.
  • Burak has completed his Bachelor degree in Psychology with High Honors, at Nisantasi University, Istanbul.
  • He has completed his internship at French La Paix Hospital (founded in 1857) which is the first psychiatric hospital in Turkey.
  • Burak has a BS degree in Civil Engineering as well. (Eastern Mediterranean University).

Burak Uçkun has several medals in swimming, snow skiing and basketball himself as well, so he likes to work with professional athletes and help them achieve their goals with the aid of hypnosis. His other hobbies are offroad enduro motorbike riding, music, and photography. His music hobby and talent in music and creative songwriting, led him to attend several national and international song contests between 1995-2003 and he won many music awards back then.
