Biography for Patrick Henderson, CHt

I was born in Oklahoma and grew up in Wichita, Kansas. I was the youngest of three adopted children. I went to Catholic School from 5th grade through High School, then on to college where I studied business administration and accounting.

After graduation, I found my way to the Benedictine Monastery at Subiaco, Arkansas, where I lived as a Monk for about 3 years. I made the decision to leave and moved to Kansas City, Missouri, where I worked for Bank of America for many years. While there, I decided to obtain a second Bachelor’s Degree, this time in Social Psychology at Park University, graduating with distinction.

A few years after graduation from Park University, I met my wife online and began a long-distance relationship, eventually marrying her in 2004, and we are still married having celebrated 21 years of marriage last March.

My curiosity about hypnosis and the subconscious mind began early. Years later, while leading meditation as a youth minister, I realized how closely it aligned with hypnosis—a connection that led me back to the Hypnosis Motivation Institute, which I’d discovered decades before. I graduated with High Honors and am now proud to serve as a Certified Hypnotherapist.

I am also an avid model train enthusiast, love dogs and cats, world traveler (four continents and counting), love learning Spanish in my part-time, taking long meditative walks and hikes, and spending time with family and friends.

Experience

One can say that I began my professional business career after leaving the monastery in 1994. I worked for Bank of America for nearly 15 years, then the recession of 2006 hit, but I kept working a variety of other jobs outside of Bank of America, gaining valuable experience in the business world. The most notable position was with a funeral services company in Leawood, Kansas, where I was employed as the Assistant Payroll Manager. The company served 22 states and had over 800 employees.

Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with a condition known as Ataxia in 2018, and have been unable to work full-time since. But, not letting that stop me, I continued to work a variety of part-time jobs to help supplement my disability income.

Then in 2024, I rediscovered the Hypnosis Motivation Institute, applied for admission, was accepted, and less than one year later, I can proudly count myself among the many HMI Graduates as a Certified Hypnotherapist. I’m excited to be starting this next chapter of my life, and am looking forward to a prosperous and fulfilling future helping many, many clients let go of that which no longer serves them.
