Biography for Xavier Gomez, MA, CCHt
Xavier Gomez, MA, CCHt, is a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist who graduated with High Honors from the Hypnosis Motivation Institute (HMI). He holds an MA in Counseling Psychology with an Emphasis in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute and brings more than 20 years of experience working in mental health settings.
His approach combines modern hypnotherapy with psychology-informed concepts drawn from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic Psychology, Depth Psychology, Guided Imagery, NLP, Self-Hypnosis, and both Kappasinian and Ericksonian approaches to hypnotherapy. Rather than applying the same technique to every person, Xavier works to understand the individual pattern beneath the presenting concern and adapt the work accordingly.
Areas of focus may include anxiety and overthinking, fears and phobias, confidence, habits and behavioral change, motivation and procrastination, relationship and attachment patterns, intimacy and performance concerns, relaxation and sleep-related concerns, and deeper personal exploration. Spiritual or existential exploration can also be incorporated for clients who find it personally meaningful, while the overall approach remains inclusive and grounded.

Experience
Xavier brings more than 20 years of experience working with adults, children, teenagers, and families in mental health and behavioral-health settings. His professional background has included work with anxiety, emotional regulation, trauma-related patterns, substance use and recovery, relationship and family dynamics, motivation, behavioral concerns, and the ways earlier experiences can continue to influence present-day responses.
Alongside his private hypnotherapy practice, Xavier works as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) in a mental health treatment setting. His private hypnotherapy practice is separate from that role and does not provide psychotherapy or diagnosis of mental-health disorders. His mental-health background nevertheless informs the way he conceptualizes patterns, communicates with clients, and individualizes hypnotherapy sessions.
