AHA Hypnotherapists Directory

Biography for Zahra Farazandeh, CHt, RD

I graduated HMI with High Honors and a Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy. I am a Certified Hypnotherapist (CHt) through the AHA. I hold multiple degrees in the biological sciences, including a Masters of Science in Biology. I am a Registered Dietitian and enjoyed working in this field but life pulled me in a different direction.

I became interested in hypnotherapy as a client. I was looking for support to get me through a difficult transition in my life. I felt hypnosis was magical. I had never experienced anything like it. I started to recommend hypnotherapy to everyone I knew and felt so passionate about it. Then I thought, why don't I become a hypnotherapist. I found HMI and I was blown away by their program. When I started my work as an intern, I realized how much I love working with and helping people with hypnotherapy.

I started to focus on insomnia and sleep issues because I was able to really help my clients with this. I also learned how much hypnotherapy can help people with ADHD. As a mother of a child with ADHD this became very important to me and I received my Certification from AHA in ADHD and Hypnosis.

I am from and currently live in Colorado, but all sessions are offered virtually.

When I am not working on hypnotherapy and growing my practice, you’ll find me elbow deep in clay as a pottery artist. I am a mom to three children and three fur babies. I can’t wait to work with you.

Experience

I have experience providing hypnotherapy support for adults seeking help with insomnia and ADHD-related challenges. I focus on supporting clients with difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep, and managing mental alertness at night. For this reason I offer late evening sessions designed to help my clients transition into sleep at night.

In my ADHD-focused work, I supports clients in addressing behavioral patterns related to executive function, such as planning, task initiation, follow-through, and consistency with daily routines. I also help support parents with their own emotional regulation so they are better able to support their children with ADHD.

This was life changing for me when I worked with my hypnotherapist to help me parent my own child. As a mother of a child with ADHD, I realize the struggle and I know how hopeless and helpless you can feel at times. However, there is support that really works and I am here to provide that.
