Overthinking Loop: Hypnotic Strategies for Rumination and Mental Clutter

Presented By: Carol Albro, CCHt

Carol Albro, CCHt

Saturday, October 24, 2026 - Starts at 10:00 AM (Pacific Time)

Join AOS Graduate, Carol Albro, CCHt, in this presentation on The Overthinking Loop, and explore why repetitive thinking can persist even when clients understand that logic alone will not resolve it. You’ll learn to distinguish productive reflection from rumination.

This presentation will help you identify how triggers, discomfort, analysis, and lack of resolution form individualized loops, and to recognize the protective purpose beneath the pattern. This session introduces practical hypnotic strategies that regulate activation, create distance from thoughts, restore choice, and help clients respond earlier. You will also explore cognitive language that supports a next step, a decision, or greater comfort with uncertainty.

Introduction to Attachment Styles, Intuition, Neurobiology, and Connection

Presented By: Terry Marks-Tarlow, PhD

Terry Marks-Tarlow, PhD

Saturday, October 24, 2026 - Starts at 11:15 AM (Pacific Time)

In this presentation, AOS Professor, Terry Marks-Tarlow, PhD, addresses the importance of understanding attachment styles within yourself and in your clinical work. This sampler of her Full-Day NEW Certification Course, examines each of the four attachment styles and how they develop out of early relationships within the mind, brain, and body.

You’ll examine the nature of psychological boundaries plus how attachment style dictates how and when people fall in and out of sync with one another, as they either lean in or away. Dr. Marks-Tarlow will trace the connection between attachment style and various forms of intuitive knowing, including flashes of insight, hunches, and gut feelings. She’ll focus on differences between ordinary forms of intuition that arise when we sit face-to-face with clients, versus more extraordinary forms of knowing that sometimes arise when separated in time or across space.

Using AI to Plan, Organize, and Run Your Hypnotherapy Private Practice

Presented By: Vivian Hensley, CHt

Vivian Hensley, CHt

Saturday, October 24, 2026 - Starts at 12:30 PM (Pacific Time)

Join HMI Graduate, Vivian Hensley, CHt, and how she began building her hypnotherapy private practice. She wasn’t lacking ideas—she was overwhelmed by them. She wished for an assistant who could help her organize her thoughts, systems, and vision.

In this presentation, Vivian will share how she used ChatGPT to clarify her message, develop her business plan, organize forms and workflows, build script libraries, create educational content, launch a podcast and radio show, and support the growth of her hypnotherapy practice.

You’ll explore practical applications of AI for hypnotherapists, discuss the strengths of different AI platforms, address ethical considerations, and discover how these tools can help us work more efficiently while preserving the expertise, creativity, and human connection that define our profession.
