I'm thinking of one of the AOS classes in Transpersonal Psychology citing how cynical people can be about the supernatural, afterlife, and clairvoyance. And yet almost everyone has a story about an experience in those areas. I was cynical about this class, but then remembered a dog that talked to me on a regular basis in dialog that seemed shockingly human in content. Aware. Relevant. And more, he seemed frustrated with me, that I didn't hear more of what he was saying. I've never been able to explain that to others in a way that didn't make me feel nuts. Or embarrassed that I once knew a dog that was smarter than I. At least now I have a context. Good job Tricia, you made a convert!
