Client has a passive aggressive personality trait where eating the junk food allows her to "win" when in reality it's the loosing choice. Seems the subconscious is like a parent, and the parent can be healthy, or an enabler. The pantry represents the opening to the subconscious mind where repressed emotions are wanting to be vented.

I feel like what Elaine is feeling is that this incident happened because of a childhood trauma he can't remember/vent. And these repressed memories manifested at the beach. Keyword Phrases: Putting importance where it doesn’t belong. Projecting a false ego. Skewed memories.
