Practice Builders Episode 52 - George J. Kappas, MA, LMFT

Presented By: George Kappas, MA, LMFT

George J. Kappas

Guest Speaker George J. Kappas, MA, LMFT, Executive Director of HMI, joins Practice Builder Power Hour for its one-year anniversary to celebrate Dr. John Kappas’s legacy and to refocus hypnotherapists on the proven steps that build a practice. He emphasizes Dr. Kappas’s simple, effective approach to relax individuals, address hypersuggestibility, and keep the focus on helping clients feel better.

In this episode, George suggests revisiting the 301 Advertising class and completing the 12-step list of activities that includes sending an introductory letter with a coupon and joining a real networking group, such as BNI or a local Chamber of Commerce. He points to additional helpful materials in HMI resources, including George’s Soapbox. He suggests doing every possible free thing before spending a dime on advertising. George also offers innovative ideas, such as donating sessions to silent auctions and creating a simple weekly free class model to attract new clients.

George highlights the advantages of having an online hypnotherapy practice, including a broader client base not limited by geography, and emphasizes the importance of showing up to sessions on time with good energy. He further urges hypnotherapists to be their own number one clients by doing Mental Bank, getting hypnotherapy, and taking responsibility for their mindsets so they are hypnotherapists that people want to connect with.

George’s passion for turning HMI students into confident, working hypnotherapists makes this an episode you won’t want to miss.

Take the next step in your journey toward success. Let’s grow and succeed together!
