American Hypnosis Association – Practice Builders Power Hour

Practice Builders Episode 97 - Miki Kiss Perani, CCHt

Presented By: Miki Kiss Perani, CCHt

Miki Kiss Perani

Guest Speaker Miki Kiss Perani, HMI Admissions Advisor and CCHt, shares how to shift from selling time to offering transformation as a trusted guide focused on the client’s desired outcome.

In this episode, Miki recommends structuring consultations around where the client is now, where they want to go, and the program designed to help them get there. He contrasts clinical jargon with destination language, encouraging hypnotherapists to describe how life may feel different after change rather than explaining every mechanism of hypnosis. He suggests saving technical language and overload for the session rather than using jargon during the initial consultation.

Miki also emphasizes an ecosystem of trust that begins before the consultation. A clear website, easy booking process, professional emails, and organized visual presentation shape what the client encounters before the call. He then addresses the certainty gap when it is time to state the program and fee. He advises hypnotherapists to overcome the certainty gap by stating their prices calmly, without apology, then pausing. In his approach, clear outcomes, a defined structure, and confident pricing give clients something concrete to evaluate while keeping the hypnotherapist focused on the transformation instead of defending the mechanics of hypnosis.

For this week’s challenge, Miki asks listeners to spend ten minutes finding one sentence filled with jargon on their website, social media bio, or consultation script and rewrite it in destination language focused on a real-world result.

Take this week’s challenge to keep learning, growing, and strengthening your work with clients.
