Produced by the American Hypnosis Association, this short but fact filled documentary, is the first step in your HMI College of Hypnotherapy journey.
This online course also includes a workbook, and online quiz which serves as a prerequisite, for your application to HMI’s Accredited Hypnotherapy Training.
It is recommended to have your workbook open for reference, while taking the online quiz.

It was great to learn that how hypnosis came about. How some scholars and doctors were believers and how others discredited the technique and, in my personal opinion, how it affected modern society. I believe that if further studies and more acceptance would have occurred in earlier centuries, more people in this century would have been able to cure themselves of many diseases, live longer and with less anxiety and stress.

I found this lesson to be informative by threading the historic application of harnessing the mind, body and spirit as a core part of people. I liked understanding the historic efforts to develop deeper understanding to heal people at the core existence of a person. I find it interesting how the practice of hypnotism endured throughout the tested times and events in history.
