Biography for Andrew Hughes, CHt

Andrew began his education in hypnosis at the age of 16, and his passion continues to burn as he approaches his 30’s. His years of study and practice awards him proficiency in meeting client needs, such as Habit Control, Emotion Regulation, Motivation, and more.

Although born in Alaska, Andrew grew up in the countryside of Iowa, imbuing him with a midwestern hospitality which has been described as safe and warm. One can only imagine such a trait to be necessary for survival in the arctic winters of Iowa. That and cocoa.

Experience

Therapeutically, Andrew has worked with clients to build self-confidence, lower anxiety, improve sleep, reduce and remove tardiness, overcome childhood traumas, control worrying, learn self-hypnosis, and more. Andrew is well practiced with inductions, as he began learning them at the age of 16.

Otherwise, Andrew also has some experience performing hypnosis for entertainment purposes. In combining these applications, Andrew has found it can be very effective to utilize some of the hypnotic phenomena, used in entertainment, in tandem with therapeutic suggestions, often leading to profound, positive results.

Before attending the Hypnosis Motivation Institute, Andrew had a few opportunities to mentor under Dr. Jim Wand, a popular midwestern stage hypnotist from Dubuque, Iowa.
